Shell Water Detector Kit

Free water in aviation fuel has led to ice formation, filter blockages and consequent engine failure. It can also allow microbial growth in fuel tanks, which can cause fuel spoiling and filter blocking. Acids generated by the microbes can even cause corrosion damage. Low concentrations of water suspended in fuel cannot be detected by visual inspections.

Fortunately there is a fast, easy and affordable method to ensure that your fuel is water-free. Introducing Shell Water Detector.

From the aviation industry's test system of choice, which has been employed over 8 million times a year wordwide. With the use of a syringe fitted with a Shell Water Detector capsule, it will only take a matter of few moments to check the fuel at any stage of your delivery system. And these capsules are probably the most cost-effective safety measure you'll ever introduce.

Supplied in boxes,  each box containing 10 Tubes Of 8 Capsules. These capsules are used to determine the presence of finely dispersed undissolved water in jet fuel at concentrations lower than normally detectable by visual examination.

Applications where Shell Water Detector can be used

The Shell Water Detector should be used as follows to check samples of jet fuels immediately after they are drawn:
